The duties of the Committee.
The JPC is established within the promotion exercise and must be permanent. It works at Commission level.
Pursuant to Article 5, paragraph 7 of the general provisions for implementing Article 45 of the Statute, the Joint Promotion Committee has the following terms of reference and responsibility:
a) compare the merits of the officials eligible for promotion based on the lists of officials proposed for promotion by the general managers;
b) takes into account complaints submitted for non-inclusion in the lists;
c) examines the exceptional requests addressed to the JPC by the Directors General;
d) make its recommendations to the appointing authority regarding the list of officials to be promoted.
